Saw this on another site - thought it was interesting. Part of a series of photographs taken at the recent Republican convention to re-nominate George W. The photographer is Canadian - and I wish I could remember their name - but I lost the site before I could note it down!

There you go. That's a little something that 49.9% of America likes to see. We'll see if we can win over that last .1% in '08. Georgie boy's tryin to make it easy for us lately.
I don't think we (in the UK) should be too critical of other countries & their leaders - our government was elect by just over a third of those who bothered to vote (and only a half of those who registered to vote bothered to vote - and its thought about 15% of all over 18s didn't register). So Tony Blair probably elected himself!
No reason to make out at a political convention!
Especially at a Republican Convention I guess
