Very pleased to hear that the UK parliament has voted overwhelmingly for a ban on smoking in all public places - without exceptions! I might start going to pubs again.

- I retired on medical grounds from a very satisfying job over a year ago - but I seem to be busier than ever. I try to watch a film a week, I joined U3A, do so much reading (I belong to three reading groups) go to the theatre regularly and love living in East London. That's what we need. A county just north of where I lived banned it except for in certain areas... it's pointless if it isn't banned everywhere.
Hasn't been universally welcomed throught the UK!
