Hadrian - Empire and Conflict
The British Museum really know how to put on an exhibition. This one was appropriately set in the Reading Room - a structure based upon the Pantheon - a building re-constructed by the
subject of this collection of exhibits from the time of the Emperor Hadrian. And he was a truly remarkable man.
I retired on medical grounds from a very satisfying job over a year ago - but I seem to be busier than ever. I try to watch a film a week, I joined U3A, do so much reading (I belong to three reading groups) go to the theatre regularly and love living in East London. I know everyone thinks it is violent and dangerous but I love the diversity and the variety. My one regret - I live on the third floor, and I can't keep a cat. Love the radio. Do leave me a message!
